Toriko 350 Review: Cooking A Ghost Fish

Toriko, Chapter 350: The Waiting Ingredient

Yeah this chapter is another 'stuff happen that we know is going to happen' so it's honestly not very interesting. It doesn't even have the big trippy feel of the previous chapter. It's just a pretty generic chapter of Komatsu being awesome, being loved by the ingredients (Another, in this case), being so awesome he can reduce the cooking time of the 'simmer-for-a-thousand-years', steal all the customers from Yuda and generally be just awesome. It's honestly kinda getting old how the chapter has been as string of Komatsu is awesome, while not really showing much tension or doubt that Another will be cooked successfully.

We get Kaka's return as she talks about her mysterious death and how she's always been a food spirit since then. We see this weird Escher painting of the Soul World kitchen, which looks cool if nothing else. Don Slime can cook himself. Something about Asarudy and his mask and forgetting his original face. Frohze's ghost apparition thing shows up to help Komatsu. Some timey wimey stuff. That's honestly about it. I am honsetly just a bit indifferent and next chapter's going to be them just eating Another. This thing has been going on and on and on and I jut want it to be over and get to all the Neo and Blue Nitro and the Jirou and the Four Kings and the giant emperor beast dudes and all that.

For someone whose super-genius skill is supposed to be dramatically shortening the duration of insane cooking techniques, this whole 'cook Another' thing is taking a helluva long time.
