Toriko 366 Review: Jirou OP

Toriko, Chapter 366: Seal the Wolf

Yeah, the Blue Nitros try to talk some shit about wanting to seal or cook Jirou or whatever, but Jirou just don't give a fuck. And honestly, neither do I. The Blue Nitro's ambiguously revealed plans just don't interest me anymore, but they sure make great adversaries. And for villains that has been built up for quite some time but never really receiving characterization, well, it's a testament to Jirou's awesomeness that he single-handedly took out practically every single one present.

The Nitro, for their credit, use golden cookware against Jirou, but he just bullrushes through everything. Golden string? Snaps through it. Light year spiral grating whatever? He fucking blows it away. An attack powerful enough to peel the Earth's crust? He just knocks himself off the surprise. Some tornado attack? He knocks time itself. Honestly the most damage that Jirou receives in this gauntlet is unleashing powerful knocking attacks one after the other.

But damn if they aren't impressive. He speed-moves right next to the first old-lady Nitro and grabs her head and just shakes it so hard her eyes and presumably brain just burst apart. We finally see the Big Bang attack, which basically sends that one poor Nitro in a cyclone up right into space Team Rocket style. The third Nitro got consumed in the Guinness Punch and he's honestly not going to survive that. He knocks time and then does this Eternal Knocking which apparently freezes gorilla nitro in time or whatever.

And then Acacia Neo comes and whacks Jirou's head clean off an I'm like 'FUUUUUU' and then Jirou's decapitated head speaks and I'm lay 'yaaaaaaay'. But sadly we all know Jirou's probably going to fall against Acacia Neo... though Jirou is a far more important, relevant and familiar character compared to Don Slime, so it'll certainly be more emotional to me reading this rushed arc/fight than it was with Don Slime.
