Nanatsu no Taizai 131 Review: Controlling Rage

The Seven Deadly Sins, Chapter 131: The Promise With The Loved One

Overall just a basic 'get from point A to point B' chapter, but it does show a more vulnerable side of Meliodas's personality really well as he goes through the death of Liz over and over again and then going all happy-go-lucky and 'all I need to do is to kill my emotions it's so simple' before suddenly exploding into rage once more. It's pretty awesome, we get through Meliodas' mind and some rather touching lines between Meliodas and Dream!Liz, plus Elizabeth in the real world, and apparently Meliodas got out of the dream by... swearing 'never again!' over Liz's death body.

Or by doing something conveniently off-screen that we'll see as part of a dramatic moment in the future. Either way, Meliodas passed his test and is going to get back his full power in the near future. Yay!

Meanwhile, Jenna brings the rest of the group to a 'Cave of Training', which is apparently a place to, y'know, train. King and company are introduced to a group of other warriors who are already training, who are Hendricksen and the Three Knights. King goes on the offensive immediately, but Hendricksen drops down to the ground all conked out, while the Three Knights are apparently so burnt to a crisp that Hawk mistakes them for leftover beef.

Overall not really much happened. It's well written but not really not that exciting.
