Nanatsu no Taizai, Chapter 242: Seven Deadly Sins - End
So, um... that was unexpected, for sure! The chapter definitely started off pretty weak, as a generic recovery chapter as everyone recounts what's going on, establishes where Merlin was throughout all this, re-establishes that Meliodas is turning into a demon, Gowther is still KO, Escanor is weakened, Diane and King reflects on the death of Gloxinia and Dolor... and then Chandler arrives! It took nearly the entire chapter for this to happen, though.
And then apparently Meliodas has awakened as his full demon form... but instead of berserking and killing everyone again, he apparently retains his memory... but is still a demon? So now he's like a combination of demon!Meliodas and good!Meliodas? Or something? In either case, Chandler bows down to him, Meliodas takes Elizabeth, and tells the Sins that they're disbanded and that Meliodas remembers how they were his precious comrades and he'll find a way to save Elizabeth, all in a glassy-eyed look. It's certainly an interesting development. Not really much else to say about this chapter.
