Teen Titans S03E11 Review: Acid Trip

Teen Titans, Season 3, Episode 11: Bunny Raven or How to Make A Titanimal Disappear

How do Teen Titans jump from episodes like this straight to the next and have us take the characters utterly seriously in emotionally gripping season finales? I'm not sure how, but they manage to do so. This is another of the sillier episodes, starring the amazing Mumbo Jumbo. Back when Mumbo first debuted in season one, he was a big blast -- he was the weird background villain juxtaposed against the creepy drama between Cyborg and Fixit, and I so wanted Mumbo to have his own episode.

There really is not much going on other than to say that the episode was hilarious fun -- my favourite moment was easily Beast Boy being turned into an inanimate object because Mumbo's spells that turn him into animals just doesn't work. Bunny Raven is also fucking adorable!

The end of the episode was a bit anticlimactic, and Mumbo's insane dimension and whole plotline is just strange... he wants to kill the Titans with a show, that's fine, but the only ones watching Mumbo's show are other Mumbos created by his magic, so why bother with the whole show? But it's a weird, fun episode that jumps from one gag to another quickly, and while Mumbo doesn't quite have the fun Brit accent that Mad Mod has, he's still a lot of fun as a gag villain.
