Nanatsu no Taizai, Chpater 262 Review: The One Twisted By Darkness
The chapter starts off pretty tame. Derriere is all kinda hopeless and just stands there because she's all shocked over Monspiet's death. Deathpierce tries to behead Derriere, but even blank-faced Derriere is inherently powerful enough to snap Deathpierce and his silly-ass sword. Fuck off, Deathpierce, no one cares about you.
Elizabeth comforts Derriere, but apparently even Monspiet's last-ditch effort to throw Derriere away doesn't even work because Estarossa shows up, summons a gigantic hellhound made out of hellfire to obtain both Derriere and Elizabeth. Elizabeth apparently has regained a lot of her old powers, though, able to create an Ark strong enough to bat Estarossa around.
And it's all cool and shit, but then it's not Elizabeth and Derriere that takes up the fight against Estarossa, but the other two archangels Tamriel and Sariel, who unleashes a stream of energy blasts, boasting about how one Archangel can easily take two Commandments. Estarosssa then mocks them over Mael's death at his hands, before proceeding to slash them both in the gut... and I genuinely thought this was over for them as they fall to the ground and become consumed by shadows. I mean, Tamriel and Sariel aren't major characters, and clearly these last few chapters are to build up Estarossa after his frankly sorry showing against Escanor earlier in the series.
But then Sariel and Tamriel's bodies start to crack, and I thought that it's just them dying, but apparently it's them assuming their true forms, shedding the weird human clothes they're wearing. Also, apparently they have 'Favours' called Tornado and Ocean? Eh. Overall, definitely a very exciting chapter, with a lot of great moments for both Estarossa and Elizabeth. There's not much for me to really talk about since it's mostly just an action chapter, but it's definitely a fun and exciting one.
