Toriko 313: The True Nature of Kaka and Bambina's Games

Toriko, Chapter 313: That Person

So the sudden Komatsu-is-sitting-up-straight from last chapter turned out to be a trap that Kaka triggered by coming into contact with a string, which melts the Komatsu into what I assume to be poison. Good job, Coco! Of course, Kaka is revealed to be evil halfway through the chapter, which is great. All these mangas with their revelations.

Also, before the fight began, apparently Sani's covered the entire ring in his Hair Dome to block the sight of the fight from outside eyes... specifically, Kaka. The Denshark then shows up next to Terry and the other two animals... and I'm assuming he's got the real Komatsu in him? I dunno.

We get a bit more of Bambina playing around with the Four Kings, doing the exact same games which made me go 'what'. But apparently it's relevant to the plot! The panel with Bambina and the Four Kings just pointing at the reader with these absolutely goofy poker-faces (Zebra and Bambina's creepy grins are funny too). And then we go into flashback as told by Coco.

Apparently, the three games that Bambina keeps performing over and over again, the janken, the knee-knock and the arm-wrestling, are not just mere games. And a couple days ago when they were doing Enbu training, Sani brings up a problem I've been having since Bambina first showed up. That Coco reacted so quickly to Bambina's attacks to do the whole Poison Doll replacement. Zebra helps to silence their conversation with Otodama, and then Coco writes things up with poison.

Apparently in the ruined city, Coco discovered a series of murals showing some kind of odd dance that two monkeys do, and the first few murals matched what Bambina did in the first 0.1 seconds. So coupled with his fortune telling, Coco has this theory that the whole monkey games thing is a specific dance presumably to be done with a mate... and is the way to obtain Pair. Not all the murals are intact, however, but they can go through all of them in 10 seconds because this is the world of Toriko and physics is not a proper thing.

And they're keeping the true method of obtaining Pair a secret from Kaka, whose vertical mouth splits open in a horrifying panel. Is he a blue Nitro? Seems so. The Four Kings then note that Bambina's balls, and indeed his entire body, is getting bigger. So next chapter they're going to dance before the evil and crazy Kaka is going to do whatever she's going to do to Komatsu. Overall pretty interesting chapter, and I definitely look forward to what is to come.
