Digimon Review Index

Because Digimon aren't very neatly categorized by index number and there's a lot of name reuse and reimaginations and variations, it's a bit hard for me to keep track if I have reviewed a particular Digimon or not. This list is for my sanity as much as it is a convenience tool for anyone who is particularly into Digimon and wants to quickly do a CTRL + F to find my opinions on any Digimon.

I organize them roughly by their most common evolutionary stage (or the ones assigned to them by the Digimon Reference Book), although Frontier, Xros Wars and some other series does make evolution stages a bit difficult. I also try to list both their Japanese and English names when possible, although the default is going to be in their Japanese names. If they are in the same stage, I'll also group variations of the same species together.

  • Due to most media treating Armour evolutions as Adult-level equivalents, they will also be listed under Adult. Likewise, the Frontier-era Hybrid-levels are also listed under their appropriate equivalent-level 'regular' stages. The Reference Book does treat 'Armor' and 'Hybrid' as their own stages, but most media have otherwise been quite consistent.
  • EN/JP names: For the most part, this blog uses Japanese names due to the writer growing up with the Japanese names (and most media tending to use Japanese names anyway). However, some spellings are rendered a bit awkward when writing in English, and some of the original, more romanized katakana names have been a bit more ingrained. Examples are like Vegimon/Vegiemon; Orgemon/Ogremon; Lighdramon/Raidramon; Scumon/Sukamon. As long as the sound of the name are reasonably similar, at that point we'll be using the English spelling.
