Nanatsu no Taizai 202 Review: Archangel

Nanatsu no Taizai, Chapter 202: The Cast of the Holy War

Well, the author's finally recovered. For the past few days we've got some mini-chapters that tie up a bunch of loose ends, but basically what's important is that Griamore is back as an adult, Jericho gains her brother's powers... and I think that's it? This chapter is mostly still spent in the flashback era, and honestly I don't have much to talk about it. There's really not much revealed, just getting from point A to point B. In the present day Gloxinia talks a bit with Hellbram, while in the past King-in-Gloxinia and Diane-in-Dolor takes out Carmadios with Meliodas's help.

No idea how King is able to use Basquias and know its forms of a giant demon-bee and a bunch of tentacles, though. Oh, and goddess!Elizabeth basically uses her powers to spread peace and have the demons retreat willingly. Their little group is apparently named Stigma, and a random human who's totally not a pre-reincarnated Ban, called Law, gets to befriend Meliodas.

They then arrive at their base, where it's filled with fairies, giants... and goddesses. We get to see the jackass angel that possessed Denzel, Nerobasta, being a huge bitch, and we finally see one of the four great angels, Lady Ludociel. Who looks like a dude. He wants a conclusion to the war, which naive little Elizabeth thinks is going to be a peace treaty, but we get a nightmare face where Ludociel says they're going to eradicate the entire demon race.

We know from here and there that the goddess clan would succeed in wiping out a good chunk of demons, killing their children and sealing the strongest ones away... but they did kind of lose the war and are sealed off themselves, so I'm honestly curious to see what happened, and just what did Meliodas, Dolor, Gloxinia and Elizabeth did to cause the war to swing in the demons' favour.
