Toriko 306 Review: Enbu Training

Toriko Chapter 306: Grab the Spark

I really am not sure if I need to review this chapter, because it's just more of Toriko and company attempting to learn Enbu and failing until they 'get' the key, which is to replicate the fear of death that each cell would instantaneously feel. It's relatively similar to the Food Honor training and all that stuff, and not really much happens here. It's not a bad chapter, it's just something to move the plot from point A to B. Hopefully by the next chapter they would've mastered Enbu, somewhat.

We also learn that Enbu doesn't necessarily make you a good fighter, since the Goritaurus that the Four Kings beat with ease is like super-awesome in Enbu. It's more of a supplementary passive ability than anything. Also, Zebra also 'gets' that Enbu is similar to the feeling that all the things he had killed had felt upon their death. We see that the animals are training with the giant pillbugs to join their masters, and Bambina is just merrily jumping around here and there after momentarily getting pissed at the fact that no one came to look for him.

Other than those, though, it's a slow-paced chapter that'll no doubt be better read as part of a whole volume.
