Boku no Hero Academia 99 Review: Frog Tears

Boku no Hero Academia, Chapter 99: Goodbye, Two Digit Numbers. From Now On, Three Digit Numbers.

That is the best title in the whole world.

We spent most of the chapter just going on with the silly 'room king' competition, which, while it was dragged on for a bit, still felt relatively fun. It helped to build up some of the lesser characters like Hagakure and Dorm King Satou, there's some great moments with Mineta being a pervert and some nice small moments for a lot other characters. It's still ultimately filler, though, and, well, it's still ultimately a Hogwarts-style superhero school adventure. Gotta have these nice cooldown chapters.

We get a couple of powerful pages of Tsuyu confronting and talking to the Bakugou Rescue Team and, well, the poor slightly-emotionally-stunted little girl is just sad and frustrated. Her worldview is a lot simpler than the rest of her friends, and she felt really guilty and sad and everything, and they all are like 'yeah, we should be buddies!' which is a pretty nice and heartwarming moment.

Aizawa brings up the topic of our next objective: making their own signature moves! Featuring the return of the most awesome superhero teacher, Ectoplasm! Hell yeah.
