Nanatsu no Taizai 238 Review: Indestructible

Nanatsu no Taizai, Chapter 237: An Opening Created

We continue the fight against Chandler, and it's... cool enough, I guess. We get Chandler deflecting what's just an illusion because Gowther knows that there's a one-second delay between Full Counters, allowing the combined King-Gowther arrow to actually hit Chandler and create a big-ass explosion. And then Chandler returns the favour by creating the illusion of a large number of weak demons, causing King to react and unleash Increase, which in turn gets Full Countered and tears King's armour apart.

Of course, Chandler is mostly unharmed physically, with the blast only taking down his defense wall or whatever, and then proceeds to give Gowther the 'Absolute Order', allowing him to give orders to Gowther... and, really? "Stay out of the way?" Not kill yourself, or attack your allies, or something? That's actually kind of dumb.

Tiny naked nipple-less Diane manages to turn into heavy metal and block Chandler's big dragon fang attack, and then Chandler tries to melt Diane with a blast of huge flame that melts the area around them... and then Ban saves Elizabeth, Diane and King. Chandler is about to unleash a bigger spell before realizing that Gowther and King's attack dealt damage to his spirit, making an opening for King to whack him aside.

It's a neat bit of back-and-forth, but honestly it does feel a little boring reading this chapter to chapter considering how little actually happens beyond display of powers we've seen before and Chandler's generic blasty-blast spells.
