Boku no Hero Academia 65 Review: All Might's Brutal Tho

Boku no Hero Academia, Chapter 65: Walls

Anime adaptation confirmed! Hopefully some certain studios stay the fuck away from this wonderful series. We get a brilliant colour page and it's nice to see All Might, Midoriya and Bakugou's costumes in full colour.

I honestly don't have much to say about this chapter beyond the fact that I really, really liked it. Bakugou is actually cooperating and making strategies to get Midoriya out safely at the cost of him facing against All Might and fighting a losing battle and being all badass and unleashing his full Killsplosion powers -- even as he shouts "DIEEEE" while throwing his supposed ally. Meanwhile Midoriya has gaining considerably better control over full cowl and ended up delivering a strong enough punch to All Might's face to stun him a little, and Midoriya braving the risk to rescue Bakugou from All Might is well done.

All Might really stole this chapter for me, though. The way he just uses his brute strength to easily keep up with Bakugou and Midoriya, even maneuvering mid-air to intercept the propelling students... and the absolutely brutal beatdown he delivers Bakugou, while flashbacking to how Heal Girl told him to be less brutal with his students... Yeah, All Might's even getting a bit of development here.

And I do absolutely love how they managed to escape from All Might. All they got was a punch into All Might's face, but that alone is absolutely awesome, and they did pass the test on a technicality, Midoriya rescuing the knocked out Bakugou. Props for Bakugou for having balls to stand up against All Might, and props for All Might to be absolutely brutal in beating down Bakugou.

I really don't have much to say about this chapter, really, beyond that it's really absolutely solid and awesome.
