Pokemon: More Ultra Beasts, Signature Moves, Let's Play?

So anyway, what appears to be the final trailer for Pokemon Sun & Moon has shown up, and we don't really get a lot of new information, but at the same time what we got are pretty cool shit. This is going to be a short post, I think...

(ALSO HOLY FUCK YOUNG JUSTICE SEASON THREE IS ANNOUNCED)

  • We get exclusive Z-moves for the three starters. Decidueye has Sinister Arrow Raid, where he summons a crapton of arrows (that really should've looked a lot sharper), flies up, then swoops down and unleashes arrow hell on the enemy. Compared to Primarina and Incineroar, Decidueye's Z-move is honestly the tamest, mostly because summoning arrows is what you'd expect. Incineroar's pretty cool as much as I feel about the design. Again, as bad as Incineroar looks, they give him the best of animations. Malicious Moonsault has Incineroar summon a wrestling ring with the power of WRESTLING, hop up to the ring, jump into the air surrounded in flames and doing the mother of all presses that explode in a fiery explosion. Primarina's Oceanic Operetta is my favourite out of the three, though, and it's the first time that I realize that Primarina's stupid hair actually splits apart when attacking into this very cool octopus/medusa looking things that looks so much cooler, prettier and natural on a mermaid-seal than the stupid hair ornaments. Her Z-Move has her sing and summon this utterly gigantic water ball and slowly levitate it until it suffocates the enemy and then it explodes. It's a bit longer than the other Z-Moves, but I think this just makes it look so much more awesome.
  • UB-03 Lighting: We've seen all four of these newcomers in the data hacked leaks, but for all of you who didn't click on the leaks it's the first reveal of these utterly bizarre Ultra Beasts. Things have been quiet on the Ultra Beast front, with the last reveal being the two UB-02's -- big muscle robot mosquito and the weird Sailor Moon cockroach -- both of whom look somewhat... Pokemon-y. UB-03 Lighting is this insane jumble of wires, crystals, electrical plugs and what looks to be Christmas lights. What a weird fucker! It really sells the idea that these UB's are very alien and weird because their design philosophy is just so much different than Pokemon. I think they'll eventually be catchable eventually, though I don't know how I feel about it. We'll see.
  • UB-05 Glutton: THIS FUCKER THO! Gets my vote as the coolest and wackiest looking Ultra Beast ever. It looks like it wandered out of a Kingdom Hearts game, It's a gigantic waddling fat mouth with two gigantic arms popping out of its mouth, a smaller body and two smaller arms on top of the huge stomach-mouth, and a fat body that elongates backwards. Man, it just looks freaking weird and abominable, and it sells the unnatural abomination look similar to Lighting that we never really saw in Pokemon -- even when they did unnatural designs Pokemon still at the end of the day look either cute or cool. This just looks like... like Cthulhu lite, honestly.
  • Alola Diglett & Dugtrio: So, yeah, Diglett and Dugtrio have hair now. Diglett doesn't even look different, his hair is just a bunch of little tufts, while Dugtrio has sexy flowing hair. Pubic hair and dick jokes aside, though, they also become Ground/Steel, meaning they are HARDER THAN EVER. Apparently those hairs are metallic whiskers to help Digletts and Dugtrios survive the harsh volcanic environments of Alola? And the Dugtrio are worshipped as gods due to their sexy, sexy hair (all three Dugtrios have different hairstyles and I have only noticed this now) and they have the ability Tangling Hair, which decreases the Speed of enemy Pokemon that attacks Dugtrio and Diglett. Um okay then. It's not my favourite design out of the Alolan forms, but it's better than stupid Persian at least.

It's all fine and dandy, but I have something slightly less happy for you guys. Sun and Moon hits the stores in 18th November, which is two days from here, but due to the country I live in and the sheer gigantic amount of workload I have, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it on release date, or even within November. I'll try to talk about the new Pokemon, but it's a bit of a sad moment for me that I won't be able to play this game on release date and discover all the hype and secrets alongside the rest of the world. I'll try to avoid spoilers about the plot and features as best as I can, but we all know how the internet is. I'll reserve judgement on the game itself until I've actually played it, which hopefully will be in December or January.
